One fun way to stick to your goals (I'm trying not to use the word "resolution") - especially the ones that you dread doing - is to attach a fun reward to it. Let's say you want to organize a backlog of files that date back to the disco era and you dread the thought of tackling it. Break the project into bite-sized chunks (set a
time limit for 30 minutes once a week, for example) and then reward yourself with something fun when you are finished your thirty-minute blitz. And yes, your favorite decadent treat counts as fun in my books!
